Since being officially opened in December 2005 by Her Majesty The Queen, Hillsborough Village Centre has become a hub of activity and a community focal point, which facilitates people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. The whole complex is a not-for-profit charitycommunity venture and every penny of income generated over and above running costs is re-investedtomaintain and improve the facilities and equipment available. While our main focus is the community, we also provide state of the art facilities for the commercial user in rooms equipped with boardroom furniture, digital projectors, laptops, wireless broadband access and a mounted flatscreen TV with DVD player. The Centre can also take care of catering requirements for any occasion.

Facilities include :

  • Multi-purpose Sports Hall (with full modern audio-visual set-up and staging for non-sporting activities/events)
  • Large function room (The Bann Room)
  • Two meeting rooms/class rooms (The Lagan Room and The Bush Room)
  • Outdoor floodlit 5-a-side football pitch
  • Outdoor floodlit tennis courts
  • Changing rooms
  • Kitchen

Activities include:

  • Full weekly and monthly schedule of community based activities including classes, clubs and societies for the arts, sport, education and more!

The Centre can only continue to be a success if the local community supports it, so we carefully plan our activities based on feedback from users and welcomeeveryone's input in every possible way. Almost all ouractivities also run on a pay as you go basis, which, means there is no long-term commitment needed when you sign up for something that takes your fancy!
